The year 2023 marked an important milestone in the development of the ECOIDEA product line — several products were awarded the official European Union Ecolabel (EU Ecolabel). This recognition reflects our long-term commitment to developing cleaning solutions that combine proven effectiveness with responsible environmental performance.

In the near future, ECOIDEA Dishwasher Gel (wash + rinse) is also expected to receive EU Ecolabel certification, further expanding the certified product portfolio.
EU Ecolabel — Trust Based on Independent Verification
The EU Ecolabel is the official environmental quality mark of the European Union, established in 1992 and governed by Regulation (EC) No 66/2010. It is one of the most recognised and strictly regulated environmental labels in Europe.
In Latvia, the conformity of ECOIDEA products was assessed and supervised by the State Environmental Bureau (currently the function is carried out by the State Environmental Service) — the competent national authority responsible for verifying compliance with established criteria.
EU Ecolabel criteria cover the entire product life cycle — from raw material selection and production to use and packaging. They include restrictions on hazardous substances, high biodegradability requirements, reduced aquatic impact, and verified cleaning performance.
This is not a one-time declaration, but a system of continuous compliance and supervision.
What It Means for Consumers
Choosing ECOIDEA products with the EU Ecolabel means choosing products whose composition and environmental impact have been independently evaluated.
At the same time, the certification confirms that cleaning performance has been tested under real-life conditions. There is no need to compromise between effectiveness and responsibility.
